Soul Connect ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Personal Information You Provide
When you register and use the app, you may provide:
- Name, date of birth, gender and marital status
- Contact details: email address, WhatsApp number and calling number
- Occupation details (school, college or workplace information)
- Postal address (optional)
- A profile photo you choose to upload from your device
- Your sadhana logs — chanting rounds, reading, hearing and service minutes, wake-up and sleep times, self-study/work hours and unnecessary-screen-usage minutes
- Questions you submit to your assigned guide through the Queries feature
- Festival and yatra registration details, including a UPI transaction reference number and a screenshot of your payment, used to verify your registration
Automatically Collected Information
- When you sign in with Google, we collect your Google account email address and profile picture.
- We access your device's GPS location only at the moment you tap "Mark attendance" for a session, to confirm you are physically at the venue. We do not track your location in the background or at any other time.
- We generate a device push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver notifications to you.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To provide and maintain our services (sadhana tracking, sessions, festivals, yatras, coupons/passes)
- To verify session attendance and event/festival registrations
- To send you information about events, sessions and festivals
- To let your assigned guide respond to your queries
- To improve our mobile application
- To send administrative information and updates
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights and prevent fraud or abuse
Payments
Soul Connect does not process payments inside the app and does not use a payment gateway. Festival and yatra fees are paid directly by you via UPI (e.g., PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm) using the UPI ID or QR code shown in the app. To complete a registration you submit your UPI transaction reference number and a screenshot of the payment, which our organizers verify manually. We store these only as proof of your registration.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information:
- With your consent — when you have given explicit consent.
- With service providers — trusted providers who help us operate the app (see Third-Party Services). They are bound by confidentiality and may not use your information for any other purpose.
- For legal requirements — if required by law, regulation or legal process, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or that of others.
Third-Party Services
Our application uses the following third-party services. Please review their privacy policies:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging and Remote Config (hosting, data storage and notifications): firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google Play Services — Google Sign-In and device location for attendance: policies.google.com/privacy
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us, or by deleting your account in the app.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction — you can view and update your profile details in the app, and request access to your data.
- Data deletion — you can delete your account in the app or request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal limitations.
- Opt-out — you can turn off promotional notifications at any time from your device notification settings, or by contacting us.
Child Safety and Privacy
Soul Connect is a family-friendly app intended for users of all ages. We moderate user-submitted content to prevent harmful, offensive or inappropriate material. We strongly recommend that a parent or guardian supervises and consents to a minor's use of the app and helps manage their registration details. If we learn we have collected information from a child without appropriate parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Policy.

Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Soul Connect mobile application. By accessing or using the app, you agree to comply with these Terms.
App Usage
- Users must provide accurate registration details (name, date of birth, gender, marital status, contact numbers, occupation, and optional address).
- Marking attendance at sessions requires GPS location verification at the venue.
- Guest users may browse events but must sign in with Google to access full features.
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
Account Registration
- You may use the app in guest mode to view events.
- To register for sadhana, mark attendance, or obtain festival/yatra passes, you must sign in using Google Sign-In.
- By signing in, you agree to share your Google email and profile picture with Soul Connect for account creation.
- You can later update your profile picture and registration details in the profile section.
Profile Updates
- You may update your profile picture and registration details at any time.
- Soul Connect reserves the right to verify updated information for accuracy.
Queries & Guidance
- The Queries page lets you ask questions to your assigned guide.
- Responses are provided at the discretion of the guide.
- Queries must be respectful and relevant to the app's purpose.
- Misuse of the query feature may result in account suspension.
Payments & Passes
- Festival and yatra fees are paid directly by you via UPI (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, etc.). Soul Connect does not process payments in-app and does not operate a payment gateway.
- To register, you submit your UPI transaction reference and a payment screenshot, which organizers verify manually. Your pass is issued only after verification.
- Session, festival and yatra passes ("coupons") are derived from your verified attendance or registration and are non-transferable.
- Any refund of a UPI payment is handled directly with the event organizers, outside the app.
User Responsibilities
- You must not misuse the app or provide false information.
- You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes.
- You are responsible for ensuring your device and internet connection are secure.
Liability Disclaimer
- Soul Connect is not liable for technical issues, service interruptions, or unauthorized access caused by user negligence.
- UPI payments are processed by your chosen payment app and bank; Soul Connect is not responsible for their processing errors or failures.
- Sadhana scores and analytics are provided for informational purposes only and are not professional advice.
Termination
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- You may delete your account at any time, which will remove your associated data from our database.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Odisha, India.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect updates in app functionality, payment methods, or legal obligations. Users will be notified of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
